JCB appoints STORM new distributor for generator range in Germany
The JCB range of generators and lighting towers is to be distributed in Germany by STORM, it was announced today, Monday 19th April, 2010.
The announcement was made by Richard Butler, Director and General Manager, JCB Power Products Ltd, UK and Siegfried Janssen, Managing Director, JCB Deutschland GmbH.
August Storm GmbH & Co. KG is based in Spelle. The company has 260 employees across 10 branch offices. STORM has a strong position as independent service provider for all makes of engines from 100 kW to 7,000 kW.
Speaking from the JCB Group’s exhibition stand at Bauma today Richard Butler said: “We are very pleased to have STORM as our new partner. STORM is now importer – distributor for the whole of Germany and will work closely with JCB’s German network of dealers. We have been most impressed by STORM’s long history of specialised knowledge and their current coverage of the market."
Bernard Storm, company President said: „I believe the partnership will benefit STORM by significantly expanding their product offering, and it will benefit JCB Power Products Ltd by really opening up the German market to the JCB generator range.”
JCB Power Products Ltd offers a comprehensive range of 74 generator models. There are 19 power nodes from 8-600 kVA, with bespoke builds from 860-2350 kVA. The range covers four broad build types: Open, Canopy, Telecommunications and Rental. The company has ambitious growth plans for the future, including a doubling of growth worldwide during 2010 alone.
