360° Information Event of AB Energy Deutschland GmbH & August Storm GmbH & Co. KG held on 26th April 2016
After intense preparation the event was about to start on 26th April 2016! AB and STORM rolled out the red carpet. The glass pavilion at Hotel Krone glistened in bright red lighting and beach flags were waving in the wind to welcome all the visitors.
Mr Angelo Baronchelli and Mr Bernard Storm, the CEO’s of Gruppo AB Italy and August Storm GmbH & Co. KG, greeted all guests at 2:00pm and presented the two businesses as well as AB Energy Deutschland GmbH during an exciting presentation.
As the first speaker the independent consultant Mr Dipl.-Ing. Heinz Ullrich Brosziewski entered the stage and spoke about the main changes and innovations with the introduction of the new legislation regarding the Heat-Power Cogeneration Act with which he brought the interested visitors up to date.
Following that the finance sector was discussed. Dr. Manfred Klinkert, a graduate economist of GML Gesellschaft für Mittelstandsleasing mbH, informed about "economic feasibility study calculation and potential savings via lease agreement financing for natural gas cogeneration plants” and he made this usually dry topic an interesting one and explained it in great detail to the listeners.
During coffee and cake the participants had the chance to let the information sink in, to interact with the speakers and other visitors with the possibility to ask questions and to examine the exhibits in this unusual location.
After the break, Mr Dipl.-Ing. Joachim Kohrt of 8.2 Consulting AG had the opportunity to speak about "system certification of cogeneration plants according to the Medium Voltage Guideline as well as the applications and experiences". Mr Kohrt managed to clearly convey this complex subject.
The fourth speaker Mr Andreas Böckmann from Energy2market GmbH spoke about the direct marketing of electricity and flexibility from cogeneration plants via virtual power plants: operation, integration and economic efficiency. This subject was presented by Mr Böckmann in a very interesting way and with great enthusiasm.
Last but not least in order to complete the 360° topics Mr Dipl.-Ing. John Steinhauer of Stadtwerke Neuss presented the compression-type refrigeration system at “Pierburg” as an application example. He reported first hand from the planning stage up to the implementation of the plant.
Following the presentations a bus transferred all guests to the premises “Werk II” of August Storm GmbH & Co. KG. In addition to a guided tour leading through the premises of STORM, participants could examine the new ECOMAX 9 container solution and AB employees were available to answer any queries and to provide a wealth of information. Once all questions were answered, all the participants were transferred back to Hotel Krone where the evening event began.
Mr Storm thanked all participants for the successful day and their interest and wished everyone a pleasant evening in a short speech. During a German-Italian buffet style dinner participants were able to share their experiences and newly acquired information with each other and they also enjoyed interacting with speakers and employees.
The next day many participants used the possibility of a joint visit to the “Hannover Messe” – Trade Show which formed part of this event .
